Lee Works of Denim is a new concept using Lee's heritage as a pioneer of work-wear clothing to create a collection of distinctive new silhouettes. The range stays true to historical garments from Lee but brings them into the 21st century through contemporary details and finishes. A new pocket patch, comfortable shaping combined with authentic finishing and original detain gives the collection a relaxed and retro feel.
In addition, the collection takes inspiration from the American 'Hobo' with colour palettes, prints and worn denim finishes inspired by the 'independent Hobo philosophy'. This is a collection for a modern day Jack London or Jack Kerouac who picks up staple pieces along the road and adapts them as needed. These travellers needed clothes so comfortable they could live, travel and sleep in them which is reflected in the soft worn denims of LWD.
LWD focuses on the five-pocket jean and reconstructed Western Shirt, the beaten-up feel of the Hobo is expressed with mixed fabrics, waistcoats and over stitched jackets in muted colours of greys, creams and browns.
This directional collection comprises of n=both raw and soft denim with heavy duty stitching and seams that follow the contouors of the body which, in turn, give the collection a well worn vintage feel. Key styles in the collection include...
