Paris, FRANCE – September 22, 2006: Lee Cooper, The original European denim company, launch their new Spring Summer 2007 clothing range at their showrooms in Paris. The collection; Spirit of '68, captures the brand essence of Lee Cooper as it approaches its centennial celebrations in 2008.
The sport, music, culture, environment, fashions and Lee Cooper archive of '68 form the basis of a collection that mixes great influences of the past with the latest trends and colours.

The music of '68
Designs take their influence from bands of the time, their attitude, mood and imagery. 1968 was a classic year in music and the collection celebrates this brief but iconic time in British music.
Track and field '68
Based on the traditional styling from the sixties, this collection uses motifs taken from 60s British sports clubs. Each piece has been heavily washed to look worn with intricate styling around each garment; all prints and embellishments have a vintage feel to them - giving an end product that looks like it could have been found in a second-hand shop.
Summer of '68
Designs are based on traditional British resort graphics and imagery. Blackpool, Skegness and Newquay are the inspiration. The colours are bright and bold with small darning details around the garment that give a vintage look, the stripes are muted and washed, with badging and overprint detail.
Red Diamond Spring summer 2007 jeans offering
The collection is a modern take on vintage jeans wear and features authentic ring fabrics, shrink-to-fit fabrics and seasonal fashion denims. The range also includes a revolutionary new '360 degree' stretch denim called Xfit LYCRA®, that offers the utmost in comfort and the latest in denim technology. Styling takes the classic 5-pocket silhouette and updates it with small details, rather than overt fashion treatments. Various fits are available but for SS 07 the focus is on straighter leg silhouettes for men, and slimmer leg variations for women, in a variety of cropped and short leg styles. Natural looking subtle washes range from the very dark, with local abrasion, through to lighter shades, crucial for the spring, summer season.
The Ziggy shrink-to-fit jeans are based on an original 1968 style of Lee Cooper jean and come in a wash-free finish. Bought in the normal size, they shrink-to-fit on their first wash. A stint in the bathtub, as per the 1968 way, is to be discouraged!
Xfit LYCRA®
XFIT LYCRA® technology, a patented denim cross-weave technology available only under license from INVISTA, will deliver exceptionally better fitting and more comfortable garments because of the unique way it delivers the benefits of multi-direction stretch. Authentics Spring Summer 2007
A heritage inspired range, introduced in 2006, the Authentics package has expanded to include tops in premium quality jerseys and indigo-dyed product. The new denim tees package, features Lee Cooper's archive imagery, coupled with heritage styling details.
The new tops sit alongside the jeans package, all jeans styles are updated for SS 07 with new fabrics and treatments.
The Beatles T shirt package
Lee Cooper and Apple Records (The Beatles) have teamed up to produce a worldwide collection of Beatle Tops.
Within the 3 year agreement, Lee Cooper will release 3 small collections per year, using the total Beatles back catalogue of imagery to produce T shirts, Sweats and shirts.
The first collection, for Men and Women, featuring "Yellow Submarine", "Revolution", "Back in the USSR" and "I Love the Beatles" is available for sale from November 06. All tops are developed with a true vintage feel, with washed treatments in a fitted younger silhouette t shirt style.
